Barbara Kenyon Engel first came to vacation in RI in 1956 and developed a life long love of the RI coast. Vacations and summers were spent on the beach and in the waters of the ocean and pond. She learned about the Pond Watchers about 25 years ago and finally has accomplished her goal of participating in the work by joining the board of SPC and becoming a water quality tester. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Business Administration, later got a Surgical Technician degree from Manchester State College and graduated from Roger Williams School of Law in 2003. She lives in Westerly with her husband Fred and enjoys her two daughters and their families.
